A young Scottish Jew dies in a bomb attack on an Israeli bus. At the hospital, his parents agree to an organ transplant and a little girl receives one of his kidneys. She is seven years old and … she is Palestinian. Yoni (Jonathan) Jesner had come to Israel for two years’ religious studies in a yashiva. Her was a brilliant student, very religious, yet he was open to the world and was always there for others. He wanted to become a doctor, but he died at only 19, in September 2002 – a victim of a bomb attack while he travelled by bus to Tel Aviv. He had still been alive on his arrival at the hospital, but he was soon declared brain-dead. The surgeons asked his parents to consider donating his organs for transplantation. At first, they hesitates, but after consulting with a Rabbi, they accepted.

The Kabul National Museum, once known as the "face of Afghanistan," was destroyed in 1993. We filmed the most important cultural treasures of the still-intact museum in 1988: ancient Greco-Roman art and antiquitied of Hellenistic civilization, as well as Buddhist sculpture that was said to have mythology--the art of Gandhara, Bamiyan, and Shotorak among them. After the fall of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan in 1992, some seventy percent of the contents of the museum was destroyed, stolen, or smuggled overseas to Japan and other countries. The movement to return these items is also touched upon. The footage in this video represents that only film documentation of the Kabul Museum ever made.
